Coverage lasts for as long as the original retail purchaser owns that Ray.
Defects in materials or workmanship that appear during normal intended use.
At our option, we repair, replace, or—if neither is reasonably available—refund the original price.
1. Warrantor and eligible products
This limited warranty is provided by Chargerless Inc., 2565 Third St, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States ("Chargerless"). It applies to a genuine Chargerless Ray that:
- was purchased new directly from Chargerless or an authorized Chargerless seller;
- was expressly advertised or identified at purchase as including a lifetime warranty; and
- is owned by the original retail purchaser and supported by reasonable proof of purchase.
The warranty applies to consumer purchases and is not transferable. A separate written promotion or order confirmation that gives you more favorable coverage will control to the extent of the conflict.
2. How long the warranty lasts
"Lifetime" means the period beginning on delivery and continuing for as long as the original retail purchaser owns that particular Ray. It does not mean the purchaser's natural life, and coverage ends if the product is sold, given away, or otherwise transferred.
3. What is covered
Chargerless warrants that the eligible Ray hardware will be free from defects in materials and workmanship during the warranty period.
A failure of the case, electronics, sensors, display-free user interface, light-harvesting system, battery, or other integrated hardware is covered when it is caused by a defect in materials or workmanship during normal, intended consumer use and is not excluded below. Coverage is based on the product's function, not cosmetic appearance.
4. What Chargerless will do
After confirming a covered claim, Chargerless will choose one of the following remedies at no charge for parts or labor:
- repair the Ray using new or serviceable used parts;
- replace it with a new or refurbished Ray of the same model or a product with substantially equivalent functionality; or
- if repair or replacement is not reasonably available after a reasonable opportunity, refund the original purchase price.
A repaired or replacement product remains covered for the rest of the original warranty period. For an approved claim, Chargerless will provide shipping instructions and cover reasonable standard shipping costs within the country to which the original order was delivered. Any replaced product or part becomes Chargerless property.
5. What is not covered
This warranty does not cover:
- loss, theft, or a product that cannot be returned for inspection;
- scratches, dents, finish changes, discoloration, or other cosmetic wear that does not impair function;
- ordinary wear or aging, including a gradual reduction in battery capacity or sensor performance that is not caused by a defect in materials or workmanship;
- replaceable bands, clasps, or accessories, unless they are separately covered in writing or failed because of a defect present at delivery;
- damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse, crushing, fire, chemicals, improper storage, or use outside published operating, water-resistance, or care limits;
- damage caused by an incompatible accessory, unauthorized modification, or repair, but only to the extent that accessory, modification, or repair caused the claimed failure;
- altered or unreadable serial numbers, counterfeit products, or products acquired from an unauthorized seller; or
- software, mobile phones, third-party services, or connectivity outside Chargerless's reasonable control, although Chargerless app updates may be provided under a separate product promise.
This warranty does not require you to use a branded Chargerless accessory or Chargerless repair service for non-warranty work. Chargerless may deny only a claim caused by an incompatible part, modification, or repair.
6. How to make a warranty claim
- Email hello@getchargerless.com with "Ray Warranty Claim" in the subject, call (412) 449-9030, or use our contact form.
- Include your order email or order number, a description of the issue, and photos or diagnostic details if reasonably available.
- Follow the troubleshooting or return instructions we provide. Do not send a product until we issue return instructions.
We may ask for proof of purchase, the product serial number, and enough information to confirm eligibility and diagnose the issue. You are responsible for removing personal information you do not want retained and for backing up any data before sending the product. Service may require resetting the device.
7. Your legal rights
This is a limited warranty. It gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by state or country.
Chargerless does not disclaim or limit implied warranties or remedies that cannot lawfully be disclaimed or limited. Nothing here excludes liability for personal injury caused by a defective product or any other liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude. Some jurisdictions do not allow limits on incidental or consequential damages, so any such statutory protection remains available to you.
